WA1 - First week done & Woodbridge

Today's adventures - Exploring Woodbridge
Woodbridge is a small town not far from where we are staying. Its main street was quite charming filled with antique and craft shops. Quite a chilled day spent enjoying the surroundings.

Interesting log for a portable fire - $30AUD

The first week at our first workaway has been fantastic. We've settled into a bit of a routine and are very comfortable with our hosts. Each day we help out as much as we can and then get the opportunity to relax or explore the area. Each arvo/night we stay in and watch a movie, head out to to pub, or explore the town or Estate.

One of John's high seats with 360deg swivel seat. John has 20+ high seats all over the estate for stalking his deer. Deer season has finished now unfortunately.

One of my work tasks was to fill these raised beds with soil, most of the job had been complete I just finished off the last couple with top soil.

Gardening at the old Orwell Park Estate Lodge - now privately owned.
We are still having issues with our Olympus camera, looks like we'll send the camera home and receive a refund, and purchase a new camera here via Olympus UK direct. This will give us a 2 year warranty which is accepted inside the UK and throughout Europe. The cost of the exact camera here in the UK is around $200AUD more which is disappointing, but we'll wear this expense as we were really bloody happy with the camera other than its faults which we reckon is essentially a one-off fault. Thankfully we've had the GoPro up our sleeve.

Currently the UK is building up to a referendum which is being held on the 23rd June to decide whether they should stay or leave in the European Union. I don't know much about this so for my own reference I'll elaborate...
Apparently the EU has quite a bit of control over the daily lives of British people, and some believe the EU is holding Britain back as it imposes too many rules on business and membership fees cost the country billions of pounds for what is little return... The EU is an economic and political partnership involving 28 European countries and has being in place since WW2. The idea is that this partnership will allow countries to trade together and avoid going to war with each other.

Our host John wants to leave.

Obama and Prime Minister David Cameron reckon they should stay in the EU. I dunno what they should do, but I reckon they'll stay.

We are expecting rain for the next few days - Sunday thru to Tuesday. Hopefully this won't affect our stay too much and we can continue living the dream - and working on my tan :)
